Top Green Car Pick. For 2010, the Toyota Prius was the Top Pick in the Green Car category, an honor held by the Prius for the seventh straight year, the longest of any current model. The Prius, which received a redesign for 2010, is still the most fuel-efficient car in our Ratings, getting 44 mpg overall. Our testers say it’s also a pleasant car to drive, with a roomy interior, a steady ride, hatchback versatility, and excellent reliability and crash-test results. Get the reviews of all Top Picks and watch the Prius video.
Note that the ‘10 Prius has been recalled to provide a brake software upgrade, though all new cars have had this work performed at the dealership or at the factory. For more information, read Toyota makes progress with recalls, cars back on sale.
