Earth Hour turns out the lights on climate change

Billed as “the largest call for action on climate change in history,” Earth Hour, led by World Wildlife Fund is back for its third year. Around the world, individuals, organizations, businesses, and state and local governments are being asked to unite by turning off the lights for one hour—Earth Hour—in support of action on climate change. Earth Hour will take place on Saturday, March 27th from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. local time.

The effort has gained support from states and iconic landmarks from coast to coast that have pledged to go dark in support of Earth Hour, including Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, Gateway Arch in St. Louis, New York’s Empire State Building, the Las Vegas “Strip” and more. Last year’s Earth Hour attracted more than 80 million participants in the U.S. and nearly a billion people around the world.

Check out this video to see what Earth Hour is all about and then sign up today to join the movement and be counted.
