Prohibits synthetic pesticides/ fertilizers in feed production

The agricultural ingredients in chicken feed, such as corn and soybeans, are grown on conventional farms where toxic pesticides can be used. These pesticides can contaminate the environment and are poisonous to wildlife. Farms that do not use toxic pesticides have been shown to enhance and conserve biodiversity.

Conventional agriculture also relies on synthetic fertilizers that reduce soil organic matter and contaminate waterways, which harms wildlife and leads to "dead zones" in the Gulf of Mexico and the Chesapeake Bay.
